Is VestraPet a veterinarian?+
No. We are a triage companion. Every result is a suggestion, ranked by urgency, that never replaces a qualified vet. For emergencies, call your nearest 24/7 hospital.
Do you sell my data?+
No. Ever. We run no third-party advertising, we do not share pet records with vets unless you initiate a handoff, and we do not train public models on your content.
Which platforms are supported?+
iOS 15+, Android 9+. The web profile (vestrapet.com/e/<id>) works on any browser for the Emergency Handshake flow — no app install required for a finder.
What if my pet's breed isn't listed?+
We ship 227 breeds on day one — 170 dogs, 57 cats, including Turkish breeds like Kangal and Van cat. Mixed breeds can pick the dominant breed or select 'Other'. Coverage expands with every release.
Can more than one person manage the same pet?+
Co-owner invites are rolling out after launch. You'll be able to share a pet with up to three accounts — a partner, a family member, a trusted sitter.
How do I export or delete my data?+
See /export and /delete-account. Export produces a machine-readable archive; deletion removes every record within 30 days, backups within 90.
